Real materials

When we were designing the "cabin" in Twin Lakes, the client expressed interest in using "real wood". Not willing to use glulams for the trusses we began a search for structural timber, including the need for 10" x 16" x 40' bottom cords. We worked with Delta Millworks (Patrick and Robbie) and found timber in Oregon that met our needs. The builder site built the wood trusses.

One of my favorite views from the "cabin" which grew into a "lodge" is from the loft. You climb a ladder to a room which unfolds in a telescope like experience, capturing Twin Lakes.
